MME & Scrap FIT Workout #65

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I was able to fit in one last challenge for the month. I really wanted to do both of these challenges and it just so happened to work out that I was able to combine them !! I used the sketch from MME and worked it in with the challenge at Scrap Fit : workout #65 Good Ole Boys.     I was wondering what I could do when I came across a stamp that would work perfect for the Scrap Fit challenge, and using one of my favorite paper line from MY Mind's Eye "Complete Boy". The stamp is from Studio 112 and the ink form Studio G.

Here's the card I did for both challenges.

HIMCR43

Hello my Scrappy friends! I wanted to share this card I made for my daughters birthday. I saw a card on Pinterest and scrap-lifted the idea. My flowers are totally my own. I just Love them. I found this material that I think is a roll of nylon and I just played with it and came up with what I think turned out to be a really pretty flower.

I folded and sewed as I went and added three pearl beads.
Here is a different angle.
I stamped a flower on the inside but wanted my message to be personal so I won't show you that.

I'm entering this in the April Showers bring....HIMCR43 flowers challenge.

Thanks so much for dropping by :)

Just Chillin at the Fair

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I wanted to share a quick page I did for Sketch Inspiration using this weeks sketch #316.  I'm also entering this into the challenge over @ Child's Play egg dying. The colors on my page are definitely the colors of the dye used in coloring Easter eggs.

I made my own wobble and put it under the little girl.

My Scrap Room...

Scrapbookers Anonymous has an easy challenge this month "Show us your stash" challenge. The challenge is to take a picture of your most favorite collection, best storage solution, or even an entire picture of your scrappy space. I took pictures of my scrappy space. I also will show you my favorite storage solutions.  As you will see this isn't as pretty as the spaces we are all pinning on Pinterest!

This is where I keep my Imagine and is my main space when my table is not set up.
The baskets underneath my table hold lots of ribbon, fibers, fabrics.

My husband bought me this table for Christmas because as you can see I don't have much space to work on my desk! The best part is that it can be folded up and slid under the futon when I have company.

I'm constantly changing my craft space as I find new ways to store my stash! I have become an avid garage sale shopper and have found most of my creative storage things from them!
My favorite storage item is the nuts and bolts holder that I store my buttons, beads, brads, and lots of goodies. I need to label the drawers but that will come when I have time to spare.

This is another storage unit I got from a garage sale. It was used at a department store for storing makeup.

As you can see I use it for stamps and ink.

Here is my closet that is a work in progress. I store most of my paper and books ect. in here.

The brown drawer unit I bought at an estate sale and have all kinds of goodies stored in here. one large drawer is filled with my Cricut cartridges.

Well that's my space. Thanks for stopping by :)

Sketches In Thyme Design Team Call !!!!

Hello my Scrappy Friends!! I'm trying out to be a Sketchy Maven on the Sketches In Thyme Design Team!!  This would be the first time I have ever attempted to be on any Design Team. I decided that now was the time because I will be having more free time come May. So here is my page, I hope you like it.

Some of my favorite things to do lately is to distress the paper with my Tim Holtz distresser and distress with ink. I saw on Pinterest the idea for a rolled paper banner. It's just something different and I really like the look!

The deadline is April 20, so you still have time to enter with me!
Here's the sketch-

I will also be entering this into the challenge over @  Get Inspired With Chatter Scene Just Elements challenge. I made my paper flowers and hand cut my banner, added the chipboard elements and the paper word quotes.
My Recipe-
My Mind's Eye- Totally Girl, Complete Boy
Colorbok- small chipboard
DNC floss
Ink- Martha Stewart, Studio G

So Glad you stopped by :)
Wish me LUCK!! :)

Big Kids Being Silly...

Hello my Scrappy friends! I was able to fit in some time in my craft room and get in a challenge! For my page I used  sketch #74 from Sketches In Thyme  and combined it with the Week end Warm-Up #26 @ Scrap Fit use 4 photos. Now working with the sketch was a challenge to use 4 photos. I cut them all down to 3"x3"  square.  I had to turn them and overlay them just right to fit them on my page so I could add a thin mat underneath to balance all the colors on the page. Speaking of colors I will also be entering this into the challenge over at Childs Play Challenges, which is to be inspired by the game Candy Land! Well to me the game is bright and fun for young kids! As you can see my kids wanted to be that age where they would've played Candy Land!!  I have also been using a lot of my stash that I haven't used in such a long time. Actually the paper and the elements were from a stack that I have had for years and have never used because they are not my go to colors.
Here's my page, it's of my kids being silly on a really cool playground at a place we were staying at in Orlando. They all wished they had cool playgrounds like that when they were little!
