Friends

Here is a page I did for Scrapbookers Anonymous.

December challenge!!!!
The challenge requires the use of rub-ons, lots of them if you can and no patterned paper.

Well this was a very interesting challenge for me! I don't have that many rub-ons, so I had to go through all my pictures to see what would work with the ones I did have.  I came across pictures actually from this past spring. I did a lot of stitching on my page and with different colored thread to give it a little more color. I used lots of bright colored textured card stock from ColorBok. The rub-ons I used were Expressionz by: Junkitz, and the font for my journal was DejaVu Sans. I also added a little ribbon!
So I woke up this morning thinking about this page and thought you know it needed a little more! The deadline was over last night and they all ready had randomly picked the winner so I thought I could show you what I added.  Just a little chip board. The picture is missing a little on the bottom but you can see the whole thing above.  I'm I the only one who does that?

Hope you like my page!
Please leave me a comment, I would Love to hear what you think:)

COOL CHICK

I did this page for Creative Scrappers Challenge.
This is the first challenge I have done on this blog and just loved having my choice of sketches to choose from!  I choose Sketch # 133

Here is my take on the Sketch!
I really enjoyed doing this page. I took these pictures of my daughter in Indiana.  I had flown up north and was going to help her drive back home to Florida. I didn't actually get to see her drive that tractor but I knew I still had to get pictures with her in it!
MY Recipe:
cardstock
My Minds Eye
glitter glue
Cricut Cartridge "Country Life"
glass beads
Hampton Art glue pad
flocking
Suzy's Zoo Stamp
Martha Stewart opaque marker
Zot's 3-D
Open office font Bradley Hand ITC
Here is a closer look at the flowers!
This is the picture of the little fuzzy chicks.  Sorry it is blurry..
You can't tell in the photo but the blue paper is blue jean print! Much better in person:)
I hope you like my page!
Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think:)

Our Family

This is the page I did for:
Artfuldelight Sketch Challenge #3 - December Sketch

I thought I would keep it simple, because our family is pretty simple down home country folk. We took this picture on Thanksgiving.
I found a piece of paper that I traced and cut out. Then I sewed with a little zig stitch around the perimeter of the page. I used my Cricut Heritage Cartridge to cut out the title to my page. The circles were cut out using my Creative Memories circle cutter  I hand stitched to make the circles into buttons & added a pumpkin.
Hope you like my page!
I Love to hear what you think so leave me a comment!
Thanks:)

I Made Top 3 @ Sketches in Thyme!

Meeting Isaiah!

This is a page I did for my Dad & his Wife for Christmas.  I had gotten copies of some of the photo's I had taken and was going to give them to them and decided I should just use them to make a page for them for Christmas.  My sister and sister in law do this for the grandparents every year to add to their books.  I just love how this turned out!!  I took the idea from a sketch I had seen, from Melinda Spinks. I just loved her sketch and of course I had to put my own spin on it.
Hope you like my page! Don't forget to leave me a comment, it all ways makes my day!!
Merry Christmas Everyone:)

The Simple Life

Here is my take on the Sketch given at Frosted Designs12-14 Sketch Along Tuesday

The recipe for this page :
My Minds Eye Life Stories
K & Company Scrap Kit, paper and embellishments
Cricut Gypsy Wanderings
tearing
chalking

It had been fun doing some of the old photos I have! I'm really going to try to do pages with the a older photos too, so maybe someday I will have them all scrapped! A Girl can dream :)

Paco's Pond

This is a page I did for my Mother in law.  My Father in law passed away this past July, so I thought it might be nice to do a page about one of his favorite places on his farm in Indiana.  I was up there this past October and took these pictures.
The paper I used was actually from a Thomas Kinkade wall paper book.  I heard that the paper they use is acid free and lignum free.  The Cricut cartridge I used was Country Life, I cut out the banner from that.
Hope you like my page !

Santa's lil helper

Here's my most recent page! I did this one for Sketchy Thursday's 12-16 Sketch Challenge.

12.16 sketch challenge
I really enjoyed doing this page because it features my Grandson! Well he was a little tired when I decided we should get pictures so he was getting squirmy!  You can't tell in these pictures but I wrapped a box and split open the back and put him in his Bumbo chair and and slid it into the package! Too Cute!
This page was fairly simple for me, it just came together quickly!  Don't you just love when that happens? It doesn't happen that often for me but I'm on a role!
I used Christmas paper that I bought years ago in a paper pack. The stickers were from Stickopotamus and Handmade cardstock Stickers I had purchased at Walmart and DCWV rub-on letters. They are hard to notice because the only place I used the rub-ons were on my photo to add "lil." I just had to do some sewing I think I'm addicted to that! Used some cute ribbon to tie on my little tags and that was it! I stayed true to My Own Personal Challenge which is to use something that I've had in my scrap room for a long time. I think the only thing that was New on this page was the Pictures!!
Hope you liked my page. Love to hear what you think so don't be shy and leave me a comment:)
Merry Christmas

MY LIL' SISTER

I was Looking through my pictures and came across a one from this summer.  It's a picture of me and my Little Sis and my Baby Brother.  I came up with a plan right away and the page just came together quickly!!  Which for me is a Big Deal because I probably spend way to much time thinking and staring at my page.
I've been thinking of quilling lately and had come across a Blog that had scrappers that quilled on their pages. So I knew I wanted to apply my amateur quilling to make balloons for my page!  I'm so glad I did!

My Sister and I had attended a scrap book convention in Orlando many many years ago. We took a quilling class and both thought it was so cool.  Well it didn't take long for me to move it aside and forget about it. I think I did a total of 2 pages with quilling.
I used Quill Stix for the little rose on the frame & the balloons and added string to each and tied them to a chipboard tag that says Party! I also used chipboard to the corner of my frame and the title.   Of course I used my Cricut! The cart's I used were George and Basic Shapes and Gypsy Wanderings. My paper is from The Paper Studio "Pink Armadillo" and Bazil.  I used my Provo Craft scissors to cut around the frame. I just had to do some sewing on my page, I used 3 types of stitches !  I have to say this is one of my favorite things to do on a page! The last thing I did was add a little more sparkle to my page! I used glitter glue on my Balloons and around the arrow on my journal !
Hope you like my page as much as I do:)  Love to have comments so please let me know what you think..

Family

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Here is the page I did for  Paper Tree House they hosted a Hop called "God's Fingerprint Blog Hop."  I really enjoyed doing this hop because you hopped around to all the DT's Blogs and I was so Blessed by what they shared!
Well this was an interesting Blog to me because you had to get a different element from each DT's Blog and apply that to your page.  I was so Blessed to have won on a Blog Hop recently and just received some awesome goodies from Fern @ Fern's Creations!  I just loved the paper she sent me and the beautiful flowers  that I had to use it right away.
I'm also entering this page at Frosted Designs for the fabulous Friday Challenge & also @ Crop Suey for their December challenge. The challenge for both was to use the word Family. I used it in my Title.
The Cricut Cartridges I used on my page were Stretch you Imagination, Street Sign, Hannah Montanna & Joys of the Season. I welded my title FAMILY onto my butterfly house using my Gypsy, also I hid the hole in the birdhouse and put in the lines for the butterflies.  I used the Rub on from Paper Studio on my butterfly house, and put lace on the roof line. I sewed around my butterfly house matting with a zig zag stitch and also around my Quote with a straight stitch. The paper was from The Paper Loft and  Mat stacks & DCWV . The quote was from Colorbok Vellum Quote Pack "Everyday Blessing."  Next I used the flower from Floral Embellishment by Petaloo Embellissements floraux I added a little glitter glue to the edges of the flower to give it even more WOW . Last but not least I used glitter glue to add more sparkle to my page. The chip board was from Me and My Big Idea Chipboard Stickers.
Hope you like my page! I love getting comments so let me know what you think:)

Believe

The sponsor of Sketchy Thursday 12-09 sketch is Catch the Moments Kits. The Jolly kit looks super cute!  This is the sketch I based my page on. You just have to check out http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/ I just found this Blog and I just Love it!

I used the Cricut carts Blackletter, Disney's Hannah Montana, Joys of the Season,George and Basic Shapes.  Of course I had to use glitter glue to spice it up a bit! I decided that my package was a little boring even with the glitter glue so I stamped stars on the package using my rubber stampede stamp and I used my VersaMark stamp pad.  I think that is my favorite of all my inks. I also used glitter paper for my title & on the Santa hat.  I sewed on the paper using the zig zag stitch.  This is something I just started doing and love how it really adds to a page!  I also had to add the little wooden Santa that I've had for a long time, which means that I also continue to follow my own personal challenge to use things I've had in my scrap room for a long time. Hope you like my page leave me a comment I would love to hear what you think!

Independence Day

12.02 sketch challenge
Hello my Scrappy Friends!  Here is a page I did for http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/   I really liked the sketch and thought I would play along!  The picture wasn't that good no natural light when I took it.  I thought it would be fun to play off the idea of  the holiday and make the mats under my pictures look like fireworks! So I used some star garland! I thought it turned out cute! I stamped my journal "Celebrate" using my Stampology stamp.  I used the  Disney's Hannah Montana font on my Cricut for my title.  I used string to wrap around the photo and hung a metal star charm that says family.  It didn't show up very well either.

So for my personal challenge to use something old in my scrap room the paper, charm and the stamp I used were things I had never used before and have had them around for years!  Hope you like my page.  Leave me a comment I would love to hear what you think!

You've got the Cutest Little Baby Face

I thought this would make a great page for a challenge over at http://thepapervariety.blogspot.com/ The challenge had to do with having anything to do with kids! This page was fun doing because I love this picture of my grandson!  I used my Cricut cartridge Doodlecharms for the Dog, the grass is from Paperdoll Dress Up, Hannah Montana for the words (let me tell you this is one of my favorite cartridges!) and New Arrival for the baby's face!  I'm a BIG fan of my Cricut!

Santa Baby

I just love this page of my cute little Grandson! I couldn't resist taking his picture when he got to my house!
I did this page for Sketch Along Tuesdays 11-30 Sketch, they also had a Fabulous Friday Blog Hop Which I also was able to enter!  So awesome to be able to enter 2 challenges on the same blog! To be able to enter both challenges I had to do the sketch from Tuesday's challenge and add Glitter for the Fabulous Friday Blog Hop challenge.  I used plenty of glitter all over my page!  The snowflakes  and the base under my title was glitter paper,  snowflake brads were added to the title. I also used glitter glue on the berries on my journal frame, and on the smoke coming out of the chimney, also I just had to use a little on my title! The chimney was embossed and inked using silver ink from the Martha Stewart ink collection. For my own personal challenge of using something from my scrap collection that I've had for years I decided it would be a great time to try the snow flakes I had purchased from a scrap book convention over 5 years ago.  Love how it added extra texture to my page! Did you notice the boots coming out of the chimney?  The paper I used was from DCWV at Home Stack, the cartridges I used were Joys of the Season, Gypsy Wonderings,  A Child's Year, George and Basic Shapes, Christmas, Country Life.  I added a little extra to each snowflakes & chimney with little jewels, also on the snowflakes I used  beads and a silver snowflake, just to make them each even more unique! Hope you joined me in the challenge!  Love to hear what you think of my page! Don't forget to go over to http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/ and check out all the exciting challenges they have and the awesome Design team too!
