Simple but Cute

A card for my sister! I wanted to make a cute and quick card for my sister and this is what I made using my Cricut Imagine!

A matching envelope too! I don't have those fancy stamps to stamp sentiments so I had to quickly write my own. I popped the cow off with foam tape.

Sketches In Thyme challenge # 50

How's everyone's weekend so far? We finally got some rain here in Sunny Florida and we sure needed it! Our poor yard is just burnt up and the rain is just what it needed! Well I decided to take advantage of the free time I had and get in my scrap room and participate in the challenge at Sketches In Thyme. Here is my take on the sketch!

To see the page better click on it:)

I bought a Cricut Imagine two weeks ago and have had nothing but aggravation with it trying to get it linked up with my gypsy! UGG ! So many phone calls to Provo Craft and they tell me that my Imagine needs to be updated which I did all ready a few times but it just wouldn't load completely. Any ways they are sending me a new Imagine but I figured out it works fine when not hooked to my gypsy so I'm trying to take advantage of the ink while I still have it:)
On to the challenge it was a sketch and here it is.

I used my Imagine Cricut and More cartridge, paper by Colorbok, card board, buttons, string, Studio G ink, foam tape and my ATG gun!  I really like to the more rugged look of the page! Hope you do too:)
Thanks for stopping!

Can You Believe it?

I know I can't believe that me of all people has made yet another card! This is for another one of my good friends that has also been in the hospital.
I used the Cricut Sampler Cartridge and my Imagine More cartridge to create this Z fold card! Then I added some blue glitter dots to the base and a ribbon. Then wiggle eyes to my Elephant  and a bandage around his nose which is popped up by a 3 D Zot.

I have to say I think this little Elephant is Super Cute and I just love that I gave her painted toe nails too:)

Unique!

Good Morning! I just wanted to show a card I quickly put together this morning to take to an older friend that I'm taking care of since she's been out of the hospital! I have to tell you she is definately Unique! She can be a lot of fun to be around and I'm supposed to be helping her and she is worried about me. I have had my share of health problems. Oh well enough of that. She has this little puppy and is crazy about him so I wanted to use this cute cut from the Cricut Sampler cartridge! The frame was cut out using my Imagine more cart. I added a little clear glitter glue to the butter fly and to the nose of the puppy!

Thanks for visiting:)

A Birthday Card!

My grandson will be turning 1 on Wednesday and we are celebrating today because his grandparents from up North are on vacation and are here! Isaiah's room is decorated in a farm theme and my daughter wanted to do a farm theme birthday party! I have been so intrigued in the creations that Jani from Paper Compulsions has been making that I wanted to try and make a cute scene card too!

I didn't have any exact measurements I just winged it! I'm really happy with the results and I know my grandson will love it!
I used my Country Life Cartridge to make all the big cuts and then added lots of little animals all around the farm. I wanted to dress up the barn a little and added shutters. I inked the silo to give it a metal look and on the weather vain I heat embossed it to make it look like copper. I used flocking on the grass  and chalked the trees and some hills. I hand cut out some bushes and a pond too!
I'm going to enter this on The (Paper)Trail Blog!

A Card for Father's Day

My Dad's passion is boating, it doesn't matter as long as he is on the water! So with that said I knew I would have to use the image on my new Imagine! On the Imagine more cartridge it had this very cool sailboat and when I saw it I immediately thought of my Dad!

I'm new to this card making thing and don't know exactly how to photograph a Z fold card.
There are so many Father's Day challenges out there now!
Here are the short recipe! Cricut Imagine More cart, Cricut Sampler, Gypsy Wanderings, Button and felt waves by Creative Imaginations, yellow bakers twine.

The challenges this qualifies for.

Thanks for dropping by:)

Big League

Still another page of Holly when she was signing to attend SCF with a softball scholarship!!! She will be a Manatee and I found a magazine and on the front of it was this Manatee so I cleverly placed it so the wording on the Manatee doesn't show with the article! Then I thought I was going to just call it done and the next morning I decided to add the seaweed and that definitely helped out this page!

Myakka River

I was able to combine 2 challenges into one! My Minds Eye...Blog Challenge # 24 was a sketch & theme challenge "Song Lyrics". The song I choose was Chattahoochee By Alan Jackson. This song I felt fit my layout because we were boating on a river! The other part of the challenge was to use at least 80% of My Minds Eye products!
The second challenge was the Fabulous Friday Challenge @ Frosted Designs! The challenge was to include some sort of stitching! I did a lot of stitching on my page. I choose to use my sewing machine with a basic stitch and hand sew with DNC floss  the Cross Stitches and the stitching on the border!

The Sketch-

Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays Sketch # 16

Hello my Sprappy Friends! I have to say it is so GREAT to be able to work on my own pages and participate in challenges again!! Whoop Whoop!!
I just loved this sketch from Frosted Designs and was so happy to be able to work with it!

Here's my take on the sketch!

This is my grandson Isaiah and he thinks he is a BIG BOY because he is drinking from a cup with a straw! I have the pleasure of watching him through the school year and I have to say not having him around so far this summer I'm having Isaiah withdraws!  I just had to put a crab on the page because on his little outfit he has a crab ! My Very TALENTED friend La Verne drew me one in like 2 seconds and said here just cut it out! What a Great friend! Thanks Verne:):)  So I decided to add some shells netting and embellishments.

A close up of Mr. Crab! Don't you just love those wiggle eyes!

Recipe-
distressing tool- Tim Holtz
sewing
chalking
Cricut Cartridge- Stretch you Imagination
Buttons
Silver Charm
Raffia
netting
paper- My Minds Eye- Complete Boy
card stock
I think that just about covers it, thanks for stopping by:)
It's not to late to play along you have until noon Monday June 13 EST.
