My girls make me happy...

Hello my Scrappy Friends:)  I'm back today to share with you a page I did using a sketch from Twisted Sketches  sketch #150. For every sketch they throw in a twist! Isn't that FUN!! The twist for this sketch is flowers any how any way!!

Here's my page, it's of me and my two girls a few years back.

I'm a HUGE fan of pinterest and have found so many cool ideas to use on my scrapbook pages!!! I got a the flower ideas for my page from there! I love to put my own twist on what ever I find and for the turquoise flower I had cut off a section of one of my old shirts and saved these little strips of fabric and thought I could try the ribbon flower for this. I added the string flower that I also found on pinterest on top and added a second string flower to the side!

I used paper from the fabulous line from MME Lush collection!! This paper is yummy!! The stripped paper is flocked! LOVE IT!! You can find the MME Lush line at the Crafting Family. Here is what the line looks like!

FoREvER...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Here's a page I did of my sister and her husband. I titled it Forever. I used a sketch from Got Sketch? #143.

Here are a few close ups-

I used whatever letters I had in my stash of cricut cut fonts, you know how you cut out words and the letters are to big or small or you just change your mind on the font. Well I store all those unused letters in a binder with baseball card pages where I separate the letters into 3 sizes. I have been doing this for a while and had never used those letters and I thought why not! I really Love how the page turned out!

my recipe-
Cricut- mixed fonts??
card board
Studio G
MME "Complete Boy"
String
solid paper- DCWV

happy memories...

Hello My Scrappy Friends! Here is my second post from me for the Crafting Family. The polka dot paper and the coral/orange paper I used this week are from My Minds Eye "Good Day Sunshine" love love love  them. The colors and the pattern worked so well with my daughters swimsuit that also had polka dots!

This is a picture of my daughter when she was little at the beach and my father- in-law. Its such a shame I didn't have a great camera when the kids were little because the quality of the photos are just not the same. But with that said  I still love digging out those old photos. Doing this page was even more important because we lost my father in-law a little less than two years ago and seeing him with my daughter and thinking about how she has a son about the same age makes me happy that I had the photo for the memories.
Here are a few close ups-

Recipe-
Papers- MME "Good Day Sunshine"
The Paper Studio "Sweet Pea"
My stickers- Misc.
Laser cut - sandcastle ?

Park...Got Sketch # 142

Got Sketch is celebrating their 5 year anniversary so the magic number is 5.
Use 5 photos, 5 pattern papers & a cluster of 5 accents. For me this was a major challenge! I struggled with paper choices and my LO was pulled apart more than once. I still wish I could rearrange but unfortunately I cut paper from the background and was stuck. With that all said I still think it turned out okay.

Here's my page- Got Sketch  #142

Here's a close up of the title and cluster.

recipe-
paper= Echo Park, DCWV
Buttons
DNC floss
Mrs. Grossman
Title letters- ???

You'll need to hop over Here to see the sketch.

Hope you all have a Blessed Day and Happy Mothers Day to those of you who are Moms :)

Baby Blues..

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I wanted to share a page I did for SOUS. This is a page titled Baby Blues because my grandson Isaiah has the prettiest blue eyes! I made up a song when I would rock him about his blue eyes and his dimples. When I saw the sketch I knew this was the page I needed to do with the song I made up and would sing to him! I don't like my own handwriting and I messed up and had to flip over to the other side of the page and still don't like my handwriting but oh well, it is what it is. Of course Isaiah is the star of the page!

I thought I would make a baby grand piano with extra large keys for a place to journal. Believe it or not all the printed paper is from DCWV "The Christmas Stack".   I was looking for papers that went with the walker Isaiah was sitting in. Of course I kinda ended up covering some of it up.  The rest of the recipe, card stock, scraps, buttons and the music notes were from Mrs. Grossman's.

Here's the sketch-
I rotated the sketch to fit my photo.

A Card for {Mojo} Monday

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Just wanted to post a card I did for {Mojo} Monday 239 sketch challenge. Those of you who have followed me for any length of time know that making cards is not my thing but I thought I would make the cards I needed instead of buying them! Yay Me!! So if I'm going to make them I want to try a challenge so I searched around and found some new to me challenge blogs! I might actually make more cards! Don't hold your breath or anything but I do have more cards I will be posting in the next few days.
Here is my card.

As you can see I made a matching envelope too. I used the Imagine more cartridge, the stamp from Studio G and misc ribbon and bow.
My gypsy is not working :( sadness so I wasn't able to weld the flower so I came up with another option.
Here's the inside of the card. I have left it plain so I can write a personal note!

Here's the sketch-

Thinking of you...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I found a new challenge blog and thought I would play along. I came across this blog CPS "Card Positioning Systems"  last night and they have a sketch challenge that I wanted to  participate in.  I will be combining it with HIMCR #44 Mothers Day. The Paper Variety, May flowers challenge.
Here's my card-

On the inside it says- On your special day! Happy Mothers Day!
I made these yo yo flowers about a year ago and thought I would use them for this project. I think the fabric works really well with the paper. All paper is scraps and I used the Cricut cartridge Florals Embellished for the paper base that I sewed the yo yo onto.

Here's the sketch
