Two Shades of Green & a Sketch Challenge

Hello again my scrappy friends! I was finally able to complete another layout! The first challenge was from Cooking With Cricut. The challenge was to use at least two shades of green. I was able to meet that challenge with more than one shade of green.  The next was a sketch challenge for Sketches In Thyme
Here's the sketch!

The sketch was chosen from Page Maps!!

I rotated the sketch and put my own spin on it.

Here's a double challenge!

Wow I can't believe how many amazing challenge blogs there are!! Love it:)
I combined the Sketch challenge @ Sketchabilities and @  Scrapbookaholic BY Abby. Choose a National Day for the Month of March challenge #1.
I first went through my pictures and came across some really old photos that I have to admit are a little dark, but not as dark as they photograph. You know I just can't throw out those old photo's or choose not to dig into them too! I keep trying to work on all the new photos that I take and dig into those that have been stored in a photo box. So with that said here is the sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch!

I cut the bird freehand to match the paper!

I don't have the Large Cricut so I traced a large bowl to get my circle shape! I had made my own sewing  template before for another project and placed it around my circle and punched holes with my trusty thumb tack and mouse pad that I turned over! Instead of sewing I decided to just lightly follow the stitching holes with glitter glue! I really like the effect!

The Holiday I choose for the month was March 30 "Take a Walk in the Park!"  The picture was taken in the park at Myakkahatchee Creek.

Recipe-
DCWV - The Green Stack
Cardstock
Stamps
Buttons
String
Glue Zots
Glitter Glue
Colorbok Vellum Quotes
Die Cuts with a View - Metal Accents
Hand made Yo-Yo Flower!

I'm happy with the results! I just wish we had Digital Cameras back then so you could see right away how your pictures turned out!

LOOKING FOR TREASURE RRR20

Well I'm so excited to have gotten another LO done!!! I know many of you can just whip them out, I'm not that kind of scrapper, it takes me forever. I started this Lo yesterday and finished it this morning. I was able to combine 4 different challenges!!! Whoop Whoop !! I thought combining 3 was a challenge but I upped my own goal!!!
I used the sketch from The Scrappiest, this will be the first challenge for me with them! I really loved this sketch and thought it would fit perfectly with the other challenges I wanted to combine!!

Here's the Sketch-

Here's my take on the sketch!
If you look closely I put dashes around the outer layers and had a starting point to the treasure chest!

Over @ Crop Suey the March challenge was to use tape on your LO/project/card.
I had decorative tape that I have had for many years and never used. This was the perfect opportunity to use it!!!

If you look closely at the LO above you will see it right above the treasure chest!

The third challenge was from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The challenge was a Boy theme and to use ribbon/lace/trim on your LO/card/project. I used the wavy ribbon to make a SUN, it was white so I used my ink pad to color it!

The fourth challenge that pulled everything together was @ Two Scraptastic Gals
The challenge was to use the Life's a Beach cartridge. I don't have that cart, so I was hoping like other challenge blogs if you don't have that cart you can substitute for something close???? I don't know if this is in the rules on this challenge blog but hey it's worth a try! I understand if it is not accepted I just wasn't sure, I still would have done the same Lo either way!

Here's a closer look at my treasure chest and all it's gold and jewels!!

This was the first time I have ever used any kind of spritz or color spray. I unfortunately got the Brilliant idea after I had everything on my page! Yep BIG mistake!!! I had to get tracing paper and redo the Pirates leg!! I don't know why I think I can do all these things after the point of it being to late!! I still however love the look!

Hope you liked my LO!

The 3 C's

Hello Again my Scrappy Friends!! I have had a Great week so far enjoying my daughter and grandson while they are on spring break, and our long time friends from Indiana are down and we spent the day enjoying the sunshine!!
My daughter is a school teacher and because she was on spring break I had a break from watching my little grandson. Which meant I have had a little more time to be in my scrap room!!! I'm LOVING IT:)
I have all ways wanted to combine challenges but it takes to much thought and with little time, for me I just can't even think about it. So I was so EXCITED to have a chance to try to do just that!
I was able to combine THREE challenges!!! Yah for me!!! I really love the results too!
I used sketch from Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesdays #10.

Here's the Sketch-

Diana did a Great sketch and I was so excited to play along!
My kids names all begin with the letter C, so we would refer to them as The 3 C's.
Courtney, Cassie & Casey, the teachers just loved me because they would have one after the other and get the names confused especially Cassie & Casey who are only a year apart! I know your wondering if I ever said the wrong name & I can only think of once!!
Here's my LO!

The (Paper) Trail Makers was the next challenge I used! The challenge was to use 3 photos, 3 different papers, and the number 3 on your project! Well I think I was able to do that one!

Here you can tell that I curled the grass to give it a 3-D effect, which was also mentioned in the challenge for @ The (paper) Trail Makers.
The third and last challenge I was able to do was over at Scrapbookers Anonyomous.
The challenge they have is to use seven or more pre-made flowers! I definitely accomplished that one I have  TWELVE Flowers!!
I really loved how it turned out it's so fresh and spring like to me!

This is a close up of the metal words! They don't show up in the big picture very well and I have found they are hard to photograph.

The Recipe:
Celebrate it Occasions- flowers
Jewell's
Ribbon
Metal Accents-By Maralla
Paper cardstock

My Lo for Two Challenges

I know it's kind of weird to do Christmas LO when we are all looking forward to Spring! But the challenge over @ Always Crafting is a winter/holiday theme! Since we don't have snow here in Florida I would have to do Christmas.

I entered my LO also in Sketchy Thursdays 3-10 sketch challenge.

Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch!

I took a few close ups for better viewing!
It didn't come out clear but I wrote all the family's names on the list!

The Santa was a wooden pin and the Merry Christmas was ornaments that I unscrewed the little eyelets out of. I had picked these up @ Michaels after Christmas clearance.

A Sketchy Thursday Challenge

Here is a layout I did for Sketchy Thursday Challenge. I made extra copies of some pictures from this fall while in Indiana. The Grandparents don't want us to buy them presents, but they can not say no to scrap book pages! I try to make them a page for Birthdays, Christmas... This is the page I made for my Mother In-Law. Today is her Birthday!! Happy Birthday Mimi:)

I tried to keep this page simple because I didn't have much time to make it. I'm happy with the results, my Mother In -Law loves any thing that has to do with nature!

Here's the Sketch I followed!
3.03 sketch challenge

My Recipe was fairly simple, I used paper from Harvest, Autumn Foliage Page Kit & DCWV- The Christmas combo. Stickers were from Creative Memories and Mrs. Grossmans Stickers.
I don't know about all of you but I have so many stickers and I'm trying to use them when I can. I just don't want to throw them out.
Hope you like my LO!

Going Green!

I found three fun challenges to try this weekend! I choose to do the sketch from Sketches In Thyme. The green challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon, anything green and to use ribbon/lace or trim. I also joined in the Green Blog Hop at The Paper Variety.
I decided to not just use the color GREEN but to use recycled paper from DCWV, The Green Stack! I really liked this paper when I came across it at Joann Fabrics. I also recycled raffia ribbon from a wedding I had gone to, it was tied around some note cards!

I have to tell you I took this picture with lamp light because I was gone all day. Not the best quality but what cha gonna do! Here you can see that I hand stitched on my letters to add a little Green. I had just seen this on one of the blogs I follow and loved how she sew'd on her letters! I'm sorry I don't remember who to give credit too.

Here you can see the picture better! I used pop dots under the word together to add a little dimension.

Here you can see the distressing and chaking a little closer.

The Sketch from Sketches In Thyme.

My Recipe:
The Paper Studio - Affinity
DCWV - The Green Stack
Jewel Stickers
Chatterbox Chipboard Tags
Ribbon
Staples
Foam Tape
Sanding/distressing
Raffia
Studio 112
Corrugated Kraft Alphas- Jillibean Soup

Cousins

It has been so good to find a little time to get in my craft room!
This LO came together pretty quick! I love when that happens, which is not very often.
My Lo is for Sketches In Thyme Open challenge.

My Recipe is pretty simple, the paper and the frames are from Best Occasions- Scrap pack. I distressed them all by sanding down the edges! I just love that look! I continued on with the distressed look and stapled on my ribbon!

Don't you just love those flowers! They are what I won from Fern on a Hop! Thanks again Fern!  I have been hoarding them for the perfect pages! The flowers are Petaloo.

I made my own template using my Creative Memories  circle cutter & a thumb tack!
I spaced out my holes and then put it on my page and punched the holes through my LO! I kept my template for the next time. I used DNC floss to stitch. I also had to add a little Bling! You know us scrappers we all like our BLING! I used jewel stickers! they are a dark green but in this picture you can't tell. The last thing I did was tie a bow around my frame and add a little metal embellie!

Here's the sketch I chose, the sketch is by Fern!

Well thats it for me! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week:)
