It's Time to Take the Plunge!!

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I'm back to share another two page layout I completed for a couple of challenges! We are going on vacation and I'm trying to see if doing the pages ahead of time will help me in saving time?!! Will see how this works, I'm the type that likes to match paper with pictures, Beatriz from Amazing Grace has been doing pages for her soon to be grand daughter, so I thought I would give it a try!

Please click on picture to see clearly:)

The challenges are :
Die Cuttin Divas- Create a FUN Summer Project
More Than Favors- FUN in the Sun
So what could be more FUN than water slides!!
The recipe is fairly simple.
Card stock
A die cut sun that I chalked and added some wiggle eyes plus I used a little glitter glue to make it sparkle, I also put foam tape to pop it off the page.
I matted ahead for my pictures.
I put the extra raft stickers on card stock so when I put my photos on I can tuck them under the rafts!
I made a spot to journal on a cute tag that I stapled my ribbon on.
The fun stickers are from Karen Foster Design- Take the Plunge
 & Stickopotomous

Thanks so much for stopping by:)

RRR27 Pool Party

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Here is a two page layout I finished just in time for the deadline at Cooking With Cricut challenge #41 & Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #27. The challenge was any thing goes @ Cooking With Cricut and the challenge @ RRR27 was picnic/summer fun, and to add ribbon /lace or trim some where on your project.  I choose to go with summer fun! We will be going to Orlando and staying at a nice place enjoying relaxing around the pool! My brother and his family will be down and I'm so looking forward to spending time with family!

The pages look so much better in better lighting! I did however add the girl in the water.

Now I took the pictures of my finished pages at 10:30 p.m. so they are not great.

On the first page it is matted for a 4x6 photo and on the second page I can put either a 5x7 or two 4x6 photos!

The Recipe-

My Cricut cuts were Luau and Imagine more.

All Dressed Up...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I finally finished another challenge, two actually! I used the sketch from Artful Delight and combined it with a challenge over at Scrapbookers Anonymous!
Here's the sketch-

I followed the sketch basically but I did flip it.

The challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous was to use a color that you had building up in your stash or that is hard to use and the twist was to also try to make it monochromatic. As you can see I choose purple. I had a lot of purple and that is a color I never use. I really don't know why but my personal choice is to use blue, greens, brown and yellows. I guess those tend to be the colors I gravitate towards.

This is a flower I made using some scrap material a friend gave me and folding and stapling as I went around. It is attached to a piece of cardboard, then I added the button and the hand cut leaves that I pocked holes in to make it stand out! The flower looks all most black here but is really a deep shade of purple.

The second challenge was to make a card with your scraps. Here's how that turned out.

I kept it very simple and did a Z fold card which seems to be the card of choice at the moment. I didn't write a sentiment because I don't know who I will be sending this too.

A Stuck On U Sketches Challenge

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I'm here today to share a page I did using the Amazing sketch from Stuck on U Sketches! If you haven't done a challenge with them you should! They have the best sketches!
Here's the sketch

And here is my page!

I have been trying to work with mixing pattern papers. I really struggle with doing so I'm more of a one pattern paper kind of girl. I do love these colors together. My favorite color is blue as you can see I'm wearing blue in the picture!

I stayed true to the sketch because I didn't see any reason to change it! I don't have a clue as to what brand my paper is. I used to separate my paper packs into colors. I used some really pretty flowers I won from Jani @ Paper Compulsions! I made the blue flower and the leaves.

Hope you like it:)

Look What Melanie...

You can get all the details by visiting Melanie on her blog at In Love with a Bug!!

Good Luck!

A Moo-valous Challenge by Cooking with Cricut

This fun challenge is by Cooking With Cricut!

Here is the card I made for my sister. I actually made her one with this same cow and matching envelope and had it all ready to be sent in the mail, pictures of my grandson and a $20 bill in side because I owed her for a present we went in together on and I lost it:(  I'm just sick over the whole thing, so I thought well I will have to make her another one just like it and then saw this challenge and still used the cow but this is totally different:) I still hope I come across the other card, it was so small I hope it got mixed in with something.

This is a Z fold card which seems to be the card of choice for me right now! The challenge was to use a cow or a black and white with a small amount of another color. I decided to combine the challenges and use the cow and the scalloped rectangle from my Cricut Imagine and the barn from Cricut Country Life. I used my trusty Scor Pal and black marker and a little bakers twine and I was done!
