Frosted Designs sketch # 37

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I did a similar page for another challenge and had a extra copy of this picture and thought I would do a page for my daughter for her birthday! I used the same line of paper from My Mind's Eye "Complete Boy" but the page is totally different than my other page. You can check it out Here.

Here are a few close ups.
I just love these stars!

ROAR...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! A good weekend for me is when I can fit in some time to get in my scrap room! Here's a page I did using the sketch from Frosted Designs sketch along Tuesdays sketch #36. I had some fun with this one combining it with the Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Paper Variety.
Here's my page!

First of all I cut the big circle out of the bottom layer to conserve paper, then I used my Tim Holtz distresser on the edges of the paper and then inked up the edges.

A few close ups.
I really thought this dinosaur needed eyelashes so I made some!  I also made some crazy spring flowers that I'm sure they had back in the time of dinosaurs in the stone age! I used Lacelon ribbon that I melted the edges and topped it off with a cardboard circle that I inked and topped it off with a bright yellow button in the center!

I not only inked my edges but used some chalk as well! I added foam tape under the dinosaurs to make them pop off the page! Don't you just love goggle eyes! Love them!!!
The picture was edited in Picasa's picnic program!

Here's the sketch-

 Layout Sketch #36

Here's the path I took with
Photobucket

1.Black & White photo,
2. Spring theme- I made the flowers from what I think would have come from the stone age!!
3.Include stitching- I machine stitched!

The paper I used was My Minds Eye- Complete Boy  and The Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll leave me a comment & I will come over and leave you one too:)

My First card challenge! And a surprise!

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I hope you haven't fallen out of your chair seeing that I actually participated in a card challenge! The biggest kicker of all is that I also did a video showing you the results! I know I'm shocked myself! I have a very good friend that I have known since sixth grade and she has never failed to remember my birthday all these years! I actually remembered this year in time to make her a very special birthday card and get it mailed up to her! I was inspired by the card challenge over at Frosted Designs and thought why not make her birthday card using this sketch! I'm so glad I did I really love how it turned out!

Here's my card

A different view of the flower! I love how this flower pops!

And the inside surprise!!!

I recycled/up cycled an old card I had received! I was trying to get ideas for the inside because I hate to write, when a light-bulb came on to use the music that the card played! So I cut it to size and covered the sentiment. Now I wish I would've made the inside pretty too but I was in such a hurry to finish to get it in the mail that I forgot:( Whoops...

2. Made Especially for You- Stitching...I stitched around one of the paper layers.
3 .Celebrate the Occasion- Birthday-must use Bling.......I added the little rhinestones
