MME & Scrap FIT Workout #65

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I was able to fit in one last challenge for the month. I really wanted to do both of these challenges and it just so happened to work out that I was able to combine them !! I used the sketch from MME and worked it in with the challenge at Scrap Fit : workout #65 Good Ole Boys.     I was wondering what I could do when I came across a stamp that would work perfect for the Scrap Fit challenge, and using one of my favorite paper line from MY Mind's Eye "Complete Boy". The stamp is from Studio 112 and the ink form Studio G.

Here's the card I did for both challenges.

Sketches In Thyme Design Team Call !!!!

Hello my Scrappy Friends!! I'm trying out to be a Sketchy Maven on the Sketches In Thyme Design Team!!  This would be the first time I have ever attempted to be on any Design Team. I decided that now was the time because I will be having more free time come May. So here is my page, I hope you like it.

Some of my favorite things to do lately is to distress the paper with my Tim Holtz distresser and distress with ink. I saw on Pinterest the idea for a rolled paper banner. It's just something different and I really like the look!

The deadline is April 20, so you still have time to enter with me!
Here's the sketch-

I will also be entering this into the challenge over @  Get Inspired With Chatter Scene Just Elements challenge. I made my paper flowers and hand cut my banner, added the chipboard elements and the paper word quotes.
My Recipe-

What I'am is...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! This is my second post of the day! I'm getting this challenge in as a last minute thing! I found both of the challenge blogs this evening and I really wanted to participate!
Here's my  page-

I just had to make an Elmo so I cut a circle and then took my scissors and gave him a hair cut, added those big eye's and cut out his nose and mouth! I think he came out pretty good!

The first challenge was for Scrapping the Music, The challenge was The song  "What I Am" and it was created by Will.I.Am for Sesame Street!
I knew I had pictures of my grandson in his favorite chair and it would be perfect for this challenge!
The second was to find a sketch to use. I came across My Mind's Eye Blog and was thrilled they had a challenge and it would work! I used My Mind's Eye Complete Boy paper for the majority of my LO. Here is the sketch for blog challenge #33.

ROAR...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! A good weekend for me is when I can fit in some time to get in my scrap room! Here's a page I did using the sketch from Frosted Designs sketch along Tuesdays sketch #36. I had some fun with this one combining it with the Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Paper Variety.
Here's my page!

First of all I cut the big circle out of the bottom layer to conserve paper, then I used my Tim Holtz distresser on the edges of the paper and then inked up the edges.

A few close ups.
I really thought this dinosaur needed eyelashes so I made some!  I also made some crazy spring flowers that I'm sure they had back in the time of dinosaurs in the stone age! I used Lacelon ribbon that I melted the edges and topped it off with a cardboard circle that I inked and topped it off with a bright yellow button in the center!

I not only inked my edges but used some chalk as well! I added foam tape under the dinosaurs to make them pop off the page! Don't you just love goggle eyes! Love them!!!
The picture was edited in Picasa's picnic program!

Here's the sketch-

 Layout Sketch #36

Here's the path I took with
Photobucket

1.Black & White photo,
2. Spring theme- I made the flowers from what I think would have come from the stone age!!
3.Include stitching- I machine stitched!

The paper I used was My Minds Eye- Complete Boy  and The Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll leave me a comment & I will come over and leave you one too:)

Sketch # 307 Sketch Inspiration ..

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I hope you enjoy your weekend! I plan to work on some challenges this weekend! I have to take advantage of whatever free time I have. Well today's page is for a challenge over at Sketch Inspiration! I have belonged to the group for quit a while now but haven't participated in many challenges and this one I just had to find time to because I just loved the sketch by artist  Paula Schober. Here is her sketch-

I turned the sketch on the side because it fit my pictures better that way. I used My Mind's Eye, DCWV card stock  and scraps of paper and ribbon. I tinted crocheted with distressing ink by Close to my Heart, added the butterfly and the hearts. The flowers were something I made using scraps and then added a little pearl center. Oh I also used my Tim Holtz distresser!! I just love distressing my paper, added a little ink from Studio G to add a little more distressing.

I'm also entering this into Scrapbookers Anonymous. scrap the letter G. I scrapped my 2 girls and my niece.

Thanks for stopping by!
