It's Owl Right...

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I sure hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Today is Monday and it's my day to share at the Crafting Family I chose to work with this really cool paper from Pebbles "happy go lucky" line. I really loved the colors of this paper and the chevron look!
Here's the card I created for a friend who just had shoulder surgery and I just love to make cards with owls, so I thought it would be cute to put a sling on the owls wing. I titled my card "It's Owl Right" such a perfect sentiment for this project.
Here's the card-
Isn't this little owl just too cute with it's little wing sling!

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, here's the sketch

Baby Blues..

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I wanted to share a page I did for SOUS. This is a page titled Baby Blues because my grandson Isaiah has the prettiest blue eyes! I made up a song when I would rock him about his blue eyes and his dimples. When I saw the sketch I knew this was the page I needed to do with the song I made up and would sing to him! I don't like my own handwriting and I messed up and had to flip over to the other side of the page and still don't like my handwriting but oh well, it is what it is. Of course Isaiah is the star of the page!

I thought I would make a baby grand piano with extra large keys for a place to journal. Believe it or not all the printed paper is from DCWV "The Christmas Stack".   I was looking for papers that went with the walker Isaiah was sitting in. Of course I kinda ended up covering some of it up.  The rest of the recipe, card stock, scraps, buttons and the music notes were from Mrs. Grossman's.

Here's the sketch-
I rotated the sketch to fit my photo.

Thanks so much for dropping by :)

Sketch # 307 Sketch Inspiration ..

Hello my Scrappy Friends! I hope you enjoy your weekend! I plan to work on some challenges this weekend! I have to take advantage of whatever free time I have. Well today's page is for a challenge over at Sketch Inspiration! I have belonged to the group for quit a while now but haven't participated in many challenges and this one I just had to find time to because I just loved the sketch by artist  Paula Schober. Here is her sketch-

I turned the sketch on the side because it fit my pictures better that way. I used My Mind's Eye, DCWV card stock  and scraps of paper and ribbon. I tinted crocheted with distressing ink by Close to my Heart, added the butterfly and the hearts. The flowers were something I made using scraps and then added a little pearl center. Oh I also used my Tim Holtz distresser!! I just love distressing my paper, added a little ink from Studio G to add a little more distressing.

I'm also entering this into Scrapbookers Anonymous. scrap the letter G. I scrapped my 2 girls and my niece.

Thanks for stopping by!
